The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently traveling to the Fernie 2 Group Hall in Mpuluzi to render expert services to the community.
SASSA is going to be rendering solutions like new social grant applications, change of payment method, client care enquiries, and also the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In an announcement, the agency stated it is actually alarmed concerning the high amount of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The purpose on the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to some significant variety of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“This is certainly a result of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no entirely functional office dedicated to service the area on a regular basis. The service position created for intervention activities a high influx read more of probable beneficiaries, which makes it challenging with the office to attend to all people who check out a SRD service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise extra resources to enable the servicing of all customers and enhance usage of SRD Social Assistance solutions,” the agency said.
